I have always felt safe and tranquil at The Retreat at Silver Springs. It is an escape from reality where you can reflect on your life and create lifelong connections. I have been going to this transformative place for church camp since 3rd grade. This summer, I counseled at Chi Rho and attended College Camp for the second time. I have met some of my best friends during summer camp, while also expanding my own faith in a personal way. The Retreat’s church camps also have several fun activities that keep children and young adults engaged; like canoeing, campfires, nature walks, silly songs, and team bonding activities. As a child, I was able to cultivate what religion meant to me with the assistance of mentors and clergy.
